Cotswold Christmas Holiday Cottage

A Cotswold Christmas is as picture-perfect as you think it is. There are so many things to do whilst visiting the Cotswolds during the festive period and it will be a Christmas you will never forget. Today I want to help you plan your Christmas time in the Cotswolds by providing you with great events, restaurants and locations that will fill you with festive cheer.

Bath Christmas Market Stalls begin on the 28th November 2019 and end on the 15th December 2019 that’s just three weeks and three days to get down to the Spa town and shop the boutique stalls. The Christmas lights will tinkle, the carol singers will sing, and the mulled wine will flow. Be a part of it, take some photos and let us know what you find!

If you love social media and showing your friends where you’ve been, then Bourton on the Water is the place for you to go. This is the picture-perfect Cotswolds Village and the Christmas tree in the river will be lit up from the 1st December.

Broadway will be open for late-night shopping on 29 November 2019 and Friday 6 December 2019. We will be there on the 6th December soaking up the festive cheer, shopping and drinking wine. I am most excited to see how the beautiful village of Broadway is transformed and to listen to the choir sing their Christmas songs.

The Forest of Dean is a beautiful place to visit at any time of the year, but it is just spectacular during Christmas. Beautiful displays through the caverns filled with twinkling lights, Father Cotswold Christmas will be waiting and there are stalls and an underground café halfway through where you can buy stock fillers.

Westonbirt Arboretum Put the sparkle in your family Cotswold Christmas Holiday Cottages and set out on the all-new Enchanted Woodland illuminated trail at Westonbirt Arboretum. The fairies have been up to mischief at Westonbirt Arboretum this winter, casting spells over the trees to transform it into an Enchanted wood.

The popular Christmas village is back ready for you to soak up the seasonal cheer by creating some Christmas Crafts with the family, exploring the Christmas market stalls and warming up with a cup of hot chocolate or mulled wine.

For a great Cotswold Christmas meal, we strongly recommend the Egypt Mill in Nailsworth, perfect for those of our guests who are staying in the Nympsfield Cottages. A 16th-century pub is set in a breathtaking location that is the perfect place to enjoy a Christmas Cocktail, a traditional turkey roast dinner and mince pies.

There are so many great places in the Cotswold Christmas, if you want any more information, feel free to drop us a message. Have any suggestions? Let us know!
